Rope Rescue Courses
Personal Advanced Tactical
Rope Rescue 16 - 18 Hours - 2 to 8 Students
Prerequisite: Basic Tactical Rope Rescue
*
These courses are equivalent to our "full" courses. But, because we limit the number of students enrolled and increase the instructor-to-student ration, we can do these courses in about 1/2 the time. They are intense!
No other course of this scope is being taught to the law enforcement community in North America, that we are aware of. The students learn how to quickly and safely set up safe anchor systems. Officers learn additional methods to safely evacuate an injured officer or hostage, vertically. They learn additional methods of ascending for "long climbs," and quicker quieter methods. Officers will spend 4 hours doing basic techniques "in the dark" (blindfolded). This will teach them how to operate in air shafts, dark alleys, elevator shafts, etc., in the dark, when their lives depend on it.
Students will add to their understanding of hauling and lowering systems. They will also learn basic highline principles. They will learn how to utilize these systems to haul equipment, people, or to utilize them as evacuation routes. During the course we will teach and use simple, easy to remember logical methods. Back-up systems and safety are stressed throughout the course! |
