Rope Rescue Courses
Personal Advanced
Rigging Techniques 16 Hours - 2 to 6 Students
Prerequisite: Level I & II, Basic Rope Rescue, or Personal Basic Rope Rescue
*
These courses are equivalent to our "full" courses. But, because we limit the number of students enrolled and increase the instructor-to-student ration, we can do these courses in about 1/2 the time. They are intense!
This course is dedicated to those individuals who "dig rigging." This course focuses on the rigging principles taught in our Advanced Rope Rescue Course and in the Eastern United States Technical Rescue School. This course teaches the student about natural, structural, and artificial anchoring of all types. It teaches equalizing systems in conjunction with those anchors. Students get to use their systems, to see if they really work. Some systems are tested to failure, utilizing the dynamometer.
Students learn safe working principles for gin poles, BI-pods, and tripods (site fabricated and commercial). The students will also learn about the safe effective use of a Larkin type frame. |
