Rope Rescue Courses
Personal Advanced Rope Rescue
16 - 18 Hours - 2 to 8 Students
Prerequisite: Level I & II, Basic Rope Rescue, or Personal Basic Rope Rescue
*
These courses are equivalent to our "full" courses. But, because we limit the number of students enrolled and increase the instructor-to-student ration, we can do these courses in about 1/2 the time. They are intense!
This course begins where others end. Students learn, in-depth, about
anchoring systems and equalizing systems. Students will be taught
vertical litter techniques, including extensive litter handling and
patient handling "while on the wall." Students will learn technically advanced hauling systems both in theory and practice. They will prove the "white board" evolutions, in the field, while utilizing our #15,000 lb. Dillion Dynamometer and 2 400 lb. scale.
Students learn the principles of highline construction (at eye level), from the very basic to the Full English Reeves-Kootaney Highline System. Then they build them "for real." Students learn progressive methodology to build from one system to the next more complex system, utilizing simple, easy to remember logical methods. Safety, as always, is stressed! |
