Rope Rescue Courses
Principles of Advanced Rescue Rigging
24 Hours - 12 to 24 Students
Prerequisite: Basic Rope Rescue, or Technical Rope Rescue Levels I & II, or beyond.
This is a super course. The material in this course is taken from The Eastern United States Technical Rescue School and expanded upon. This is the course for those who want to become "rigging gurus" or for those who just plain want to become good. The course takes technical rigging to new heights.

Advanced Rigging will teach you techniques that most rescuers haven't even dreamed about. Equalizing principles show their importance. Students become proficient at picketing (even methods never seen before). The students then get to do extensive artificial anchoring. Students do both handset bolting and power bolting and learn about their advantages and disadvantages. You'll learn mixed anchoring, loading, and estimating forces. Leaning about minimal anchoring is one of the highlights of the course.

Students will learn safe working principles for gin poles, Bi-pods, and tripods (site fabricated and commercial). Students will also learn the effective use of a Larkin type frame.

Someone once said, "a good rigger should be able to anchor a rescue load from a sand pile." After this course - you'll be able to do just that!
