Rope Rescue Courses
Improvised Advanced
Rope Rescue 22 - 26 Hours - Limited to 12 Students
Prerequisite: Level IV, or Advanced Rope Rescue, or The E.U.S.T.R.S.
This course is a "Special Treat" for our advanced students. This 3-day course is given in the fall in the mountains of central West Virginia, at one of the most beautiful spots on earth. The course is a pure product of Jacque Greiff's love of the vertical environment. With this course, Jacque shares some "age old techniques" that can be applied to today's technical world. Students learn how to do a lot - with little. Students learn how to be in that selected group that can "pull off" a rescue with what little equipment they have at hand.
Students learn old and forgotten techniques. They learn methods that work beautifully but have been passed over for the sake of expedient courses. They learn to do multiple evolutions with a single rope. Students learn advanced artificial anchoring, and free hanging belays and lowering operations. Counter weighted systems, and advanced belay systems are taught. All this in one of the most phenomenal private settings, known to man.
