Rope Rescue Courses
Adverse Conditions Rescue
18 - 22 Hours - Limited to 12 Students
Prerequisite: Level IV, or Advanced Rope Rescue, or The E.U.S.T.R.S.
This course is for "Advanced Students Only." The course is done during 2 nights, during the winter. The students learn how cold and darkness affect rescuers, and thus the rescue. They learn about the physical and psychological aspects of hypothermia. The students use advanced techniques to learn their own physical limitations. They learn how the cold, snow, and wind affect their patient, their equipment, fellow rescuers, and the actual evolutions themselves, under these conditions.

One of the most physically and psychologically demanding courses of its type in North America, this course sends each rescuer home as a changed person. They now understand more about rescue and about themselves. After this course, most rescues will seem incidental.

This is an incredible course, unlike any other course you've ever attended. Get off your butt and push yourself. Do you really want to be the best? If so, this course can help make you "one of the best."
