Confined Space
Rescue Technician

32 Hours - 12 to 24 Students

Prerequisite: Basic Rope Rescue, or Technical Rope Rescue Levels I & II, or beyond and Confined Space Entry and Rescue

This is the next level! What to do when a worker or emergency responder is in trouble, in a confined space. This course expands upon those principles taught in Confined Space Entry and Rescue. The course is centered around rescue and the difficulties, dangers, and hazards created during confined space incidents. This course is designed to keep the rescuer alive and make them competent. This is an advanced course for those who want to be good. The course utilizes proven rescue techniques adapted to safely work within the restraints of confined space rescue.

Those rescuers completing this course will be comfortable and competent when faced with the pressures of difficult and dangerous confined space situations. This is an intensive hands-on/equipment rich course.

The sponsoring department or company must arrange for the use of suitable confined spaces during this class. We can help you with selection and procurement of these sites. But you must ask, if help is necessary. These sites must be pre-approved by F.I.R.E.S.
