Rope Rescue Courses
Technical Rope Rescue
Level III 18 - 20 Hours - 15 to 30 Students
Prerequisite: Level I & II or Basic Rope Rescue
* This course was designed for "fire school - weekends."
Review of Level II's activities. This course covers: the use, packaging, and tie-in methods for litters other than stokes litters. The students are shown additional "advanced" ascending systems. They are taught vertical litter riggings, of various types. They learn about advanced hauling systems and special related equipment.
Students are taught in-depth rigging, anchoring, and equalizing systems. The students learn vertical litter hauling, lowering, and how to change over from one to the other. The students learn how to load the patient "on the wall." They spend considerable time on knot passing and other problem solving, as it relates to vertical litter evolutions, hauling or lowering, and tensioning systems. This is 1/2 of our Advanced Rope Rescue course.
