Technical Rope Rescue
Level II

16 Hours - 15 to 30 Students

Prerequisite: Level I

* This course was designed for "fire school - weekends."

This course reviews Level I's techniques. This course teaches the student to use additional descent and lowering devices. It teaches them how to change ropes (or pass a knot) in an emergency.

The course teaches basic ascending with prusik knots and with mechanical ascenders. The students learn about basic hauling systems, and how to raise and lower litters on inclines. Level II concludes with the famous "stokes litter obstacle course."
