Principles of Incident Command
For Industrial or Institutional Fire Departments
8 Hours - 12 to 24 Students
This course teaches students the structure of incident command. It teaches team members what type of structure is necessary to make your team function effectively. It teaches how your people must relate to other groups that you must deal with during an incident. The course teaches where your team and its individual members fit into "the big picture?"

The course teaches the importance of proper communication skills through the use of some unique evolutions. By giving your team a structure to build on, incidents will flow smoother. Members will know their particular tasks and how those tasks relate to those being done by others. If team members must move into other areas, they will then better understand where a particular job fits into the overall picture. You can't build a building with out a foundation. Well, you can't build a team or function on scene, without a suitable foundation either! This course will help teach you how to build that foundation.
