Advanced Firefighting for Industrial &/or Institutional Fire Departments

40 Hours - 12 to 24 Students

Prerequisite: Basic Firefighting or Basic Firefighting for Industrial &/or Institutional Fire Departments

Using today's standards, our students move into the next levels of fire suppression. They are taught to think of the consequences of their actions; to learn the overall effects. They will deal with the "whole fire" not just the area they are in. They will learn how to "interlace" operations to become more effective and safer. Students learn tactics and begin to relate to the command systems. They will learn more effective communication skills. They will learn multiple group/multiple task evolutions. This course teaches "the overall picture." (Manuals are provided - suitable gear, SCBAs', training site(s), and apparatus must be provided by the sponsoring firm).
