Caving & Climbing Courses
You Take the High Road, I'll Take the Low Road
A combination of Down & Dirty and Riding the Nylon Highway.
24 - 28 Hours - 2 to 8 Students
Prerequisite: Rock On
During this course you will have the opportunity to experience a mystical magical world that very few people ever get to see. You'll see Mother Natures handy work "from the inside out." This is definitely not a "commercial cave trip" (i.e. Luray Caverns).

I have been caving "seriously" since 1980. I have been a member of the National Speleological Society (NSS) for much of that time. I also taught for the National Cave Rescue Commission's Eastern Region and was an active Regional Rescue Coordinator. JACQUE KNOWS CAVES! Now we want to share the beauty, excitement, fun, and mud with you.

This course will teach you safe techniques, before entering the cave. How to dress so that hypothermia is not a problem. What lighting you will need. About other things you may need to take. How to carry it. About specialized protective equipment you might need, and about footwear. You'll learn how not to disturb or hurt the bats we see (we're the dangerous ones - not the bats), or the cave and it's environment. What camera to take?

You'll see a beauty you never imagined. Your sore back and knees will have been "well worth it." You'll have a ball, and you'll relearn that playing in the mud is just plain fun!
